Team 2 has made it to BRAZIL! We are happy to report that we are all safe and sound and we are in the Sau Palo Airport as we wait for our next plane. We will be leaving here in about 30 minutes and heading to Brasilia which should only be about a 2 hour flight. Last night was a fun adventure... Our first experience was trying to get speedy checked in at the Atlanta airport (which is about an hour long story) but the short story is that somehow his ticket got cancelled and put under Mallory’s name... So Mallory had two tickets and Speedy had none. Brent, Speedy, and Julie stood at the Delta counter for about an hour and a half and hung out with our new friends at delta!

The flight was good. We have several that have not flown internationally before, so this was a great experience. When we landed we all made it through customs extremely smoothly and then we were met by Ivan who had transportation arranged for us and we headed from one airport (where we landed) to another airport in Sau Palo. We were able to stop and eat at a café and the team was able to try some fresh fruit juice, pao de queijo (cheese bread which is amazing) and some great coffee. Then we have headed to the other airport and we are now waiting. Team 1 will be flying into this airport as well, but we will miss seeing them by about 15 minutes :(.

Anyhow, we are all well and will post as often as we can. We appreciate all of your prayers and can not wait to see what God has in store for us this week!

Nicole: Wishing that our flight could get delayed so she could see Keenan. But having a good time.
Brittany: Is thankful that she is one of the few that got to sleep like a baby on the plane
Mallory: Well Mallory was the last one on her phone to leave the states, tried to steal Speedy’s plane ticket (which is what took him so long to check in), tried to stay in the Brazilian customs longer than anyone and is feeling amazing after just getting to brush her teeth!
Jessica: Is making friends with every person she sees... She is excited about meeting a lot of Brazilians and has made many friends already.
Jon David: Found out that he is too tall for an airplane...
Speedy: Is just thankful to be here!
Julie: says hey to Addie Grace and Daryl
Alison: is laughing secretly at everything and no one knows why...
Jacob: has been very un-studious with his Portuguese lessons...
Kaelyn: Just conquered her first commercial flight and made it successfully!
Angela: Is thankful for her new inflatable neck-pillow... Thank You Target!
Brent: Does not understand why everyone can not sleep on a plane?!? I just slept for a solid 6 hours and I am ready to go! (Brazilian coffee helped as well!)
