Orientation is done and they are off!

On Friday, team one traveled from different places all over the southeast to come to the “Farm House” in Atlanta for their orientation. We had a great time together as we talked about what is about to happen in Brazil, packed a lot of supplies, cut felt for our craft project, ate great food and played a lot of games so we could be prepared for the campers that are coming to the WinShape Camps in Brazil! We also had a lot of fun playing with Oobleck... Which is an excitement that we will do during ‘Wacky Science’ in Brazil!

This was the first time that we have all been together face to face. Over the past few months we have meet as a team over conference calls and webinars as we learned a lot about what we are going to experience in Brazil, but it was great to see the whole team as we were able to come together to get ready to leave. Over the orientation we were able to really dive into what we will be doing next week as well as spend some great time in prayer as we prepare.

The team was so excited to go... I think that a few probably did not sleep much as they were too excited to sleep! The team left Atlanta about 7:00 pm and all went well!

Please keep the team in your prayers over the next week. Also be in prayer for team 2 as they will travel to orientation in Atlanta on Thursday of this week (March 12). Check back often; team 1 will post as often as they can this week!
