On the flight to Brazil, almost all of the team had three seats to themselves. They enjoyed some sweet rest, especially Gabe who slept completely through dinner. After a nine hour flight of sleeping vertically, the team was ecstatic when they arrived at Aqua Viva. Upon arriving, they enjoyed their first homemade breakfast by Dona Gon Gon’s daughter, Hochie. Before lunch they took some time to relax, unpack, and meet the awesome Brazilian volunteers. Later, they taught mimes and some of our camp songs and dances. Our Brazilian volunteers were really excited about learning the songs. The day was full of bonding with the team’s new Brazilian friends.
Daniel and I finally made it on our flight around 11:00pm saturday night! We made it to Agua Viva around lunchtime. We were both very excited to see our team and sleep horizontally.
